veteran UNLV edge defender known for rugged, team-first play
Faauo Faga has been a steady, physical presence for UNLV on the defensive line, with season stat lines showing him as a reliable tackler rather than a flashy sack producer—his listed 2006 totals were 11 tackles (4 solo, 7 assisted) and 2007 totals were 12 tackles (4 solo, 8 assisted). He’s the kind of defender who fits if your team values toughness, assignment discipline, and a lunch-pail mentality over highlight-reel numbers. One notable context point: UNLV previously described him as a “powerful hitter,” and his career has included injury rehab, so durability and availability have mattered in his profile.
