Rim-Protector First, Low-Mistake Frontcourt Depth for Northwestern
In the 2022-23 season at Northwestern, Tydus Verhoeven posted 3.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game while shooting 54.5% from the field, but his real value is his hard-nosed frontcourt work: he’s a physical, high-motor big who can defend, rebound, and finish efficiently without needing touches. At UTEP in the 2021-22 season, he started 28 of 31 games and averaged 6.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks, showing he can be a legitimate rim presence. He’s a fit if you want toughness, energy, and reliable role-play—not a featured scorer.
