Virginia catcher Will Broderick is a deep-bench bat with upside and a strong high-school résumé
Will Broderick enters 2026 as a Virginia catcher who has seen limited game action so far, with only two collegiate appearances and one career RBI after debuting in 2025 against Towson. His appeal is more projection than production right now: a 6-foot-1, left-handed hitter with a right-handed throwing arm, he was ranked by Perfect Game as Texas’s No. 8 catcher and No. 89 overall player coming out of Alamo Heights, where he hit .357 with 23 RBIs as a senior. If you want a catcher to develop, Broderick fits the mold; if you need an immediate everyday offensive force, he’s still a work in progress.
