veteran Nevada interior lineman with a steady, earned-it edge
Amir Johnson’s calling card is resilience: the Las Vegas native climbed from walk-on to scholarship player at Nevada and, in the 2021 season, logged a career-high 12 games with 9 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks after switching from offense to defensive tackle. He’s not a flashy stat-sheet bully, but he brings position flexibility, toughness, and a long developmental arc that coaches love in a rotational DT. If you want a blue-collar interior piece who knows the program and earned his stripes the hard way, he’s your guy.
