veteran SIUE guard with a role-player’s poise and gritty floor-game
In the 2015-16 season at SIU Edwardsville, Connor Wheeler appeared in 22 games off the bench and posted 2.0 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game, with a 22.2% field-goal mark and 20.5% from three[3][6]. His value was less about flash and more about steadiness: a 6-foot-2 guard from Carbondale who gave the Cougars a tough, local, high-IQ presence, could handle some secondary playmaking, and accepted a reserve role without the drama. If your roster needs a selfless backcourt piece rather than a bucket-hunting headline act, he fit the bill[2][5].
