High-Impact Spark for Morgan State Despite Limited Stats
Derrick Banks, a guard for the Morgan State Bears, delivers elite intensity and clutch scoring bursts that transcend his modest career averages (1.1 PPG, 0.6 RPG, 0.1 APG in 2025-26). His differentiator is explosive off-bench energy: he sparked a 22-0 DePaul run with 7 points and previously scored 18 in a loss, proving he can shift momentum instantly. Banks, a former point guard at DeMatha (66-9 record), brings disciplined leadership and a fierce competitive personality. While his shooting efficiency is low (27.8% FG), his intensity and ability to provide instant offense make him a valuable fit for teams needing a high-energy reserve who thrives under pressure.
