Southern Illinois Long Snapper Dan Heilbron: Trusted Depth With a Full-Ride Start
Dan Heilbron’s calling card is reliability at a specialist position: he earned a full-ride opportunity to long snap for Southern Illinois after being described as an elite snapper and a strong all-around athlete in his previous program. His differentiators are consistency, versatility, and competitive upside—he also earned first-team all-conference honors in both football and baseball, which points to strong hand-eye coordination and game-day poise. For a team needing a dependable LS who can handle pressure and contribute as a true freshman, he profiles as a smart fit.[1]
