Georgia veteran with an older-school trench profile, not a stat-sheet TE splash
Casey Nickels is listed as a Georgia offensive lineman, not a tight end, and the available records show him as a Bulldogs veteran from Tignall, Georgia[1][11]. In Georgia’s 2009 roster, he was a junior at 6-foot-4 and 274 pounds, and a 2009 feature described him as having bulked up to 280 pounds while still fighting to earn notice in spring practice[6][11]. The main takeaway: he profiles as a toughness-and-development story, with size, persistence, and team-first value more than headline-grabbing production[6].
