Damian Howard brings steady back-line presence to ACU’s defense
Damian Howard is a safety for Abilene Christian whose value appears to come more from dependable defensive range and physical, assignment-sound play than splashy headline stats. He is listed on ACU’s roster and ESPN’s player page, with game logs showing he has been active in the program’s defensive rotation; an older stat line also shows he recorded 3 tackles in a 2016 game, suggesting a history of contributing in coverage and run support. The fit question is simple: if you want a defensive back who can play disciplined football, add toughness, and keep the structure intact, Howard is the kind of low-drama, high-accountability piece that coaches tend to appreciate.
