Shane Thomas brings depth and special-teams value to Washington State’s secondary
Shane Thomas is a reserve defensive back for Washington State whose value comes from versatility and special-teams work rather than headline stats; ESPN lists his career NCAAF stats, while Washington State notes he has appeared in games primarily on special teams and at defensive back. He is the kind of lower-usage, roster-flexible piece coaches like because he can help on the back end, handle multiple roles, and provide insurance in a physical Pac-12-style defense. Based on the available public data, he projects more as a dependable depth fit than a featured playmaker.
