Brandon Mikos brings veteran size and swing-and-miss flashes to YSU's rotation
In the 2026 season, Brandon Mikos is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound veteran right-hander for Youngstown State who entered the year as an anchor arm after working 24 starts and 39 appearances since 2022. In 2025, he logged 58 innings, went 5-3, and struck out 42 hitters, with the highlight being Horizon League Pitcher of the Week honors after three scoreless relief innings at Gardner-Webb; the caution flag is command and contact damage, as his 2026 line included an 0-9 record and multiple rough outings. He looks like a durable, experienced innings-eater with enough stuff to miss bats, but he fits best for teams that can sharpen his consistency and protect him from big innings.
