Alabama State Guard with Proven Scoring Pedigree from JUCO Days
Damya Toney, a dynamic guard for the Alabama State Lady Hornets, showcased her scoring prowess in her sophomore JUCO season, averaging 15.3 points per game while shooting 70% from the free-throw line and earning NJCAA Honorable Mention honors—highlighting her clutch finishing and reliability under pressure. Her explosive athleticism and competitive fire shone in D1 matchups like a 5-12 shooting night vs. Mississippi State in 2016-17. Though data is dated, Toney's mid-major grit and efficiency make her a steal for teams seeking a tough, high-energy perimeter scorer who elevates in big moments—perfect fit for programs building depth.
