Nicholls Colonels DL with Untapped Potential from High School Stardom
Jared King, a defensive line prospect for the Nicholls Colonels, brings explosive athleticism highlighted by his 2009 Byron Tiger high school dominance—1,171 rushing yards and 13 TDs as a unanimous All-Conference MVP—translating to DL tenacity and speed off the edge; while college stats are sparse across stints at McMurry (8 tackles in 2014) and St. Francis (no 2024 stats), his multi-state HS pedigree (IL, VA, CA) and Hudl highlights showcase rare burst and motor, making him a high-upside fit for teams needing intense, versatile pass rushers who thrive in aggressive schemes—watch for breakout if he lands consistent snaps.
