David Hermes brings size, rim protection, and useful stretch potential to UNC Asheville
Hermes is a 6-foot-10 forward/center whose value comes more from positional size, rebounding, and shot-blocking than high-volume scoring. In 2025-26 at UNC Asheville, he has logged limited minutes, but his profile suggests a low-usage frontcourt option who can defend the paint and finish efficiently when asked. His 2024-25 season at UTSA showed better production, including 6.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game with 47.6% shooting and 39.3% from three, hinting at some stretch-big upside if his role expands.
