Furman's Record-Breaking Kicker from Epic FBS Upsets
Jon Croft Hollingsworth, Furman Paladins' 5-10, 155-pound kicker from Greenwood, SC, etched his name in school history with a record 55-yard field goal in the 2015 upset win over FBS UCF (16-15), the program's first such victory since 1999, and clinched a 20-17 thriller over Samford with a game-winning 19-yarder after rallying from 17 down. A three-year starter (2015-17) leading Furman in scoring (56 points in 2017), his clutch reliability, leg strength, and poise under pressure make him a proven game-changer—ideal for teams needing a battle-tested specialist with upset pedigree.
