veteran UAB guard with a high-IQ, team-first profile
Lionel Love is listed by UAB as a 6-foot-3 guard from Huntsville, and his background points to a dependable, coachable backcourt piece rather than a volume scorer. In his UAB seasons, he appeared in limited minutes but showed up as a steady presence, while his high school résumé included two-time all-area, two-time all-state honors, and a 4.3 GPA — the kind of detail that screams discipline and maturity. If you want a low-drama, high-character guard who can fit a system and compete, he’s the type worth caring about.
