Dontay Bishop is powering URI’s offensive line with size, versatility, and real-game toughness
In the 2025 season, Dontay Bishop emerged as Rhode Island’s starting left tackle after spending much of his recent career on the defensive front, and that two-way background makes him a uniquely flexible, high-upside lineman. At 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds, he brings the frame coaches want, plus proven game experience in 25 appearances over the last two seasons and even a 2025 touchdown catch from his earlier hybrid role. If you value toughness, adaptability, and a lineman who’s still growing into his full-time OL ceiling, Bishop is a strong fit.
