Trey Adkins brings slot-versatile upside to Mercer’s receiver room
Adkins is a compact, reliable WR who has shown he can produce in multiple roles, including an 11-catch, 142-yard season for Mercer in 2022 and a 7-catch, 98-yard showing across 18 career games at South Carolina. His profile suggests a smart, adaptable target with enough polish to contribute as a chain-mover rather than just a pure vertical threat, and his background as a scholarship player who also earned academic recognition points to discipline and coachability. If your team wants dependable versatility and a competitive, detail-oriented receiver, he’s worth a close look.
