Ryan Rivera is still the heartbeat of LIU’s infield and one of the NEC’s toughest outs
In the 2026 season, LIU shortstop Ryan Rivera has remained a table-setter and run producer, with credible stat-leader context showing he’s among the Sharks’ most productive bats and a proven all-conference caliber player. In the 2025 season, he hit .357 with 79 hits, 51 RBIs, 46 runs, 16 steals and a .908 OPS, and 2026 coverage again points to extra-base pop, contact skills and the ability to impact games on both sides of the ball. The fit is obvious: steady, experienced, competitive, and disruptive at the top or middle of the order.
