MVC Pitcher of the Week with 185 Season Strikeouts and Historic Consistency
Erin Metz, Valparaiso's 5'7" right-handed pitcher, is a data-driven force who earned 2025 MVC Pitcher of the Week honors after winning four consecutive games—a program-first feat—while delivering 185 strikeouts that season and nearing 500 career strikeouts. Her differentiator isn't just her 3.35 ERA; it's her relentless intensity, program-tied 44 appearances (third-most ever for a Valpo pitcher), and a personality that thrives under pressure, making her an ideal fit for teams needing a high-volume, battle-tested ace who doesn't shy from double-digit game weeks. No injury history reported; she's a 2024 signee who made an immediate impact as a freshman and now leads as a junior.
