Benson Mayowa brings proven edge-rush production and veteran savvy to Idaho’s front
Mayowa is a battle-tested defensive end whose game is built on leverage, burst, and steady pass-rush production; across his NFL career he posted 20 sacks and 41 QB hits in 87 games, showing he can win with speed and technique rather than just raw size. He also has a history of contributing as a rotational disruptor, with 110 tackles and 13 sacks over his first six NFL seasons, which suggests a player who understands assignments and can raise a defense’s floor. At Idaho, he’s the kind of edge presence that fits if you want experience, effort, and a ready-made disruptor more than a developmental project.
