Notre Dame’s steady, high-IQ glue guard
Vasturia was never the flashiest name in the building, but in his Notre Dame career he became the kind of guard coaches trust in tight games: versatile, efficient, and ice-cold at the line, finishing ranked second in program history in free throw percentage (.853), third in consecutive starts (117), and second in games played (137). In the 2015-16 season, he averaged 11.4 points and 3.2 assists, then followed with 13.1 points and a Notre Dame single-season free throw record 91.0% in 2016-17, showing dependable shot-making, poise, and winning impact over pure volume.
