Duke’s QB room has shifted: D. Bryant is a former Blue Devil, not the 2026 starter
D. Bryant’s Duke profile is a throwback, not a current one: he was a dual-sport athlete at Duke and, in the 2000 season, brought athleticism to the quarterback spot, but his college stats were modest overall, with 3,902 passing yards and 16 passing touchdowns across 22 games. If you’re evaluating Duke’s current QB fit, Bryant is not the active answer in 2026; Duke has named Walker Eget its Week 1 starter. The real takeaway: Bryant’s value was his mobility and competitive versatility, not eye-popping box-score production.
