Andres Castro brings live-arm depth and strike-throwing potential to FDU’s staff
Andres Castro is a right-handed pitching option for Fairleigh Dickinson whose profile points to a smooth, high-three-quarters delivery and a fastball that sits in the low-to-mid 80s, with a curveball/changeup mix that gives him potential as a strike-thrower and change-of-pace arm.[4] In the 2026 season, FDU’s team stats list Castro as a contributor in a limited sample, which suggests he’s more of a developing depth piece than a finished product right now.[1] The draw here is upside: he already shows feel for spin and arm speed, and if the command sharpens, he can fit as a useful bullpen fit for a staff that wants deception and competitiveness over pure velo.[4]
