TQ Newsome brings physical, playmaking linebacker production to Southern Miss
Newsome profiles as a sturdy, productive LB at **6-1, 235**, coming off a season with **40 tackles**, **4 tackles for loss**, a **QB hurry**, and a **forced fumble**, which points to a downhill, disruptive style rather than a just-clean-up tackler.[1] ESPN also credits him with **47 solo tackles**, **2 sacks**, **2 forced fumbles**, and **1 interception** in his career profile, reinforcing that he can affect the game in multiple ways beyond raw tackle totals.[4] If you want a defender who brings contact, urgency, and turnover potential, he looks like a strong fit.[1][4]
