a likely depth-chart grinder with linebacker upside at Marist
Marist’s Ed Hawthorne appears to be a low-profile linebacker profile rather than a headline-grabber, and the available public data is thin enough that a true current performance read is hard to verify. That said, the best fit for him is a team that values toughness, special-teams value, and assignment discipline over flash; if he’s on your radar, you’re probably buying effort, physicality, and coachability more than eye-popping stat lines. The main caveat: current rankings, detailed stat leaders, and reliable recent scouting opinions weren’t publicly surfaced in the available information.
