Freshman RHP with Projectable Frame and Sharp Slider for Charleston Cougars
Kaden Myers, a 6'2" freshman RHP for the Charleston Cougars, stands out with a projectable frame and a sharp 71 mph slider that complements his 79–86 mph fastball, making him a high-upside arm despite a 5.55–5.84 ERA in the 2025–2026 season. His differentiator is elite tunneling ability—mixing a tight SL with a heavy 2-seam in the lower first zone—and a smooth half-inning work rate that reveals intense focus and a calm personality under pressure. Though he’s struck out 25–28 batters in 43–47 innings, his 0.62 SO/BB vs. lefties shows room to grow, but his 8.65 SO/9 vs. righties and 4.90 FIP vs. righties confirm he’s a strong fit for teams needing a reliable right-handed starter with pro-ready mechanics and a 2024 state champion pedigree from Mid-Carolina HS.
