Rafael Cruz Jr. gives Western Michigan a steady, veteran guard presence
Rafael Cruz Jr. is a tough, experienced guard who has shown he can contribute as a scorer, rebounder, and secondary playmaker for Western Michigan; in the 2020-21 season, he averaged 6.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.7 steals in 21.0 minutes per game. He’s the kind of grinder who brings hustle, physicality, and a little extra juice when the Broncos need it, though his efficiency from deep has been inconsistent, so he fits best as a reliable rotation piece rather than a high-usage creator.
