FAU's Flashy Two-Way DB from the Mid-2000s Era
Taheem Acevedo, a versatile Florida Atlantic cornerback and return specialist from 2004-2006, dazzled with 82 tackles, 8 interceptions, 198 receiving yards on three catches, and a punt return TD, showcasing elite ball skills and athleticism despite a serious 2005 ankle fracture and dislocation that tested his grit. His dual-threat intensity and playmaking flair made him a defensive cornerstone for a young secondary—ideal for teams seeking explosive, resilient DBs with return upside, though his career predates recent NFL paths like FAU's 2025 UDFAs.
