Little Rock LHP's Strikeout Flair Amid 2026 Struggles
Hunter Royal, Little Rock's 5'10" lefty from Rogers, AR, flashed dominance in prior seasons with 36 K's over 22.2 IP and three saves at a 6.75 ERA, but his 2026 campaign has been rough—17.18 ERA in limited 2.2 IP with 6 strikeouts and a loss per D1Baseball and 64Analytics. His prep pedigree boasts a 91.7 mph exit velo and sharp 20.7 mph hand speed, signaling raw arm talent and swing-and-miss stuff as a late-inning weapon. Ideal for bullpen depth on teams seeking high-upside, lefty strikeout artists ready to rebound—no injury flags, just small-sample variance.
