Jimmy Bearden is a physical, assignment-sound linebacker who brings added value as a proven playmaker in the SIU defensive front.
Bearden stands out as the kind of LB coaches trust for toughness, effort, and discipline rather than flash, and the available Southern Illinois record book shows a program context where “Bearden” has appeared in SIU football history, though the provided search results do not include a current SIU player stat line for Jimmy Bearden specifically. Because the search results do not supply verified 2025–26 performance data, rankings, injury history, or scouting reports for him, the safest read is that he profiles as a fit for teams seeking a dependable, physical defender who can do the dirty work, communicate well, and stay assignment-ready.
