Illinois State RB Tyler Lofton brings compact power and playoff-tested production
Lofton is a **freshman** running back at Illinois State with a sturdy **5'10", 220-pound** frame that points to a downhill, contact-balanced style. He has already shown he can deliver in meaningful moments, including an **80-yard, 1-touchdown** performance for Brother Rice in a playoff-clinching win in 2024, suggesting toughness and reliability under pressure. For a team, his appeal is the blend of power back size, local pedigree, and a profile that fits physical, between-the-tackles football rather than finesse-only usage.
