Jacob Faver brings veteran-ish linebacker grit to Northern Arizona
Jacob Faver is a Northern Arizona linebacker whose appeal is more about steady, physical fit than splashy box-score fireworks; in the 2026 season opener against Arizona, NAU’s defense was under heavy pressure in a 35-7 loss, which makes it hard to draw sweeping conclusions from one game, but Faver’s profile still reads like a tough, assignment-sound defender who fits a downhill, contact-first role. He’s the kind of player teams like for reliability, toughness, and special-teams/value depth rather than pure headline-making production.
