Ashlyn Zhang is a smart, steady Rice guard with a comeback track record
Ashlyn Zhang is a 5-7 guard for Rice whose game is built on toughness, IQ, and versatility: in high school she averaged 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.6 steals as a junior, and Rice lists her as having battled a season-ending injury early in her college career. In the 2023-24 season, she appeared in four games for the Owls and scored her first collegiate point, so the arrow is more about durability and development than box-score volume right now. If you value a gritty, team-first guard who can handle, defend, and bring resilience, she’s a sneaky-interest fit.
