SFA's Tackling Machine Justin Owens: 80-Tackle Standout with Sack Flair
In the 2014 season, junior linebacker Justin Owens ranked second on Stephen F. Austin with 80 tackles (31 solo), 6.0 TFLs, and 2 sacks, exploding for a career-high 15 stops vs. Northwestern State and 9 with a TFL at Weber State—showcasing relentless pursuit and big-game intensity as a 6-1, 217-pound heat-seeking missile. His solo-tackle prowess and sack production highlight sideline-to-sideline range, making him a tone-setter ideal for teams needing gritty, instinctive LB depth; no notable injury flags, just pure blue-collar dominance.
