Larry Bush was a high-energy, do-it-all guard for UNLV
In the 2016-17 season, Larry Bush entered UNLV as a walk-on transfer from Moorpark College and gave the Rebels a sturdy, versatile backcourt option; at Moorpark he averaged 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists as a sophomore, which hints at real all-around feel and toughness. His appeal was less about flash and more about multi-level production, competitive edge, and the kind of underdog motor coaches love in a roster fit. He was also recognized as Moorpark’s Male Athlete of the Year and Ventura County Male Athlete of the Year, a nice little badge of “this guy gets it done.”
