Senior DB with Elite Intensity and Shannon, MS Grit for Mississippi Valley State
Marquez Floyd, a 5-11, 170-lb senior DB from Shannon, MS, stands out not just for his physical tools but for his relentless intensity and 'never-back-down' personality that elevates every coverage. While official tackle stats for the 2025 season are limited in public records, his differentiator is his film-reliable anticipation and zero injury history, making him a durable, high-fit defensive piece for any team needing a leader who plays with Shannon HS grit. Floyd’s intensity level is unmatched—he treats every drill like a championship game, and his personality traits (witty, direct, and fiercely competitive) make him a cultural anchor. If you’re building a team that values heart over flash, Floyd is a perfect fit; he doesn’t just play defense, he commands it with a quiet fire that teammates respect. His differentiator is the combination of durability, anticipation, and leadership that stats alone can’t capture.
