David Brown gives Iowa State a sturdy, no-drama backfield option
David Brown is listed as a running back on Iowa State’s roster, but publicly available team information does not show recent stat production, so the clearest takeaway is his profile as a depth/competition piece rather than a proven centerpiece in the 2026 season. His value looks to come from the classic RB traits coaches love: size, steadiness, and roster flexibility — the kind of player who can help in camp and be a reliable fit if a team needs toughness, special-teams willingness, and a low-maintenance teammate rather than splashy highlights.
