Senior Power Forward Bringing Nigerian Grit and Locker Room Leadership to Wake Forest
Sunday Okeke, a 6-8, 250-pound senior from Lagos, Nigeria, is Wake Forest’s most intense locker room catalyst, consistently praised by teammates for making them better on and off the court[4]. While his 2025-26 stats show modest averages (0.8 PTS, 1.7 REB)[8], his differentiator is unmatched defensive intensity, physicality in the paint, and a personality that elevates team culture—traits not captured in point totals. He has no reported injury history and plays with relentless energy, making him a perfect fit for teams needing a high-character, defensive-minded forward who thrives in ACC competition[1][3]. Care about Okeke because he’s the heartbeat of Wake Forest’s resilience, not just a stat contributor.
