Coppin State's Historic Point-Assist Maestro Turned Coaching Gem
Taariq Cephas, Coppin State Eagles guard, etched his name in program lore as just the second player ever to hit 1,000 career points (8.7 PPG) and 400+ assists (3.6 APG, 2nd all-time at CSU with 421), showcasing elite playmaking vision, scoring punch (up to 19 PPG outbursts), and defensive tenacity (1.5 SPG senior year). A gritty, opportunity-proven leader with All-MEAC Third Team honors in 2014-15, he's now transitioned to Coppin's women's basketball coaching staff—perfect for teams seeking a high-basketball-IQ mentor who maximizes underdogs.
