Canaan Brooks gives South Dakota a proven, physical backfield spark
In the 2026 season, Canaan Brooks has already produced 642 career rushing yards and 6 touchdowns for South Dakota, with a current 2026 stat line showing 498 rushing yards, 4 rushing TDs, and 53 receiving yards. He stands out as a compact, reliable runner with enough pass-game utility to matter on more than just early downs, and his résumé includes a career-best 112-yard game that hints at real burst when he gets rolling. If a team wants a tough, veteran-ish runner who can handle contact and chip in as a complementary piece, Brooks is worth a close look.
