St. John’s guard with Bronx toughness and a coach’s eye
Mercedes Dukes is a guard who brings strong NYC roots, leadership energy, and a deep understanding of the college game from her St. John’s background. Available public records tie her to St. John’s as a former women’s basketball guard, but current 2026-season playing stats or rankings were not found in the sources reviewed. What stands out instead is her basketball IQ, program familiarity, and high-intensity, development-minded profile—traits that fit a team looking for grit, communication, and someone who knows how to compete and mentor.
