66 Rec, 947 Yds, 9 TDs – Elite WR for Southeastern Louisiana
Merrick Lanaux, a 6'5", 205-lb senior WR for the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, delivered a standout 2009 season with 66 receptions, 947 yards, and 9 touchdowns, averaging 14.3 yards per catch. His differentiators include rare size-speed synergy, clutch performance in overtime (e.g., 28-yard TD in 31-24 OT win), and intense film-study discipline that translates to precise route-running. No major injury history; his personality is described as quietly driven and team-first. He’s a high-fit WR for teams needing a red-zone threat and deep-stretch option, especially in pass-heavy schemes. Why care? He turns coverage mismatches into touchdowns with consistency beyond stats.
