Nick Falla brings strike-throwing punch and transfer-portal upside to SDSU
In the 2025 season at Allegany College of Maryland, Nick Falla went 7-0 with a nation-leading 1.08 ERA, 73 strikeouts in 50 innings, and no home runs allowed, then arrived at San Diego State as a junior right-hander with a proven power-to-command blend[5]. SDSU used him in relief in 2026, including clean late-inning work in the win over UC San Diego, and the package is appealing for teams that value competitiveness, strikeout ability, and a pitcher who’s already been tested in multiple roles and levels[10][12].
