NDSU's Clutch LB Hero from the Dynasty Era Now Crushing It in Finance
Esley Thorton, a standout linebacker for North Dakota State Bison's 2014 squad, tallied 44 tackles including a career-high 9 in their NCAA playoff rout of Furman, but his legend peaked with a game-sealing interception in a thriller championship that preserved the Bison's dynasty—earning him the 2014 NCAA Elite 90 Scholar-Athlete nod for elite GPA amid gridiron glory. Known for bone-crushing intensity, ball-hawking instincts, and ice-in-veins poise, he's the ultimate team-first warrior with no injury red flags. Post-college, he's a Fargo financial advisor, but that championship pedigree screams locker-room leader—prime fit for any squad chasing culture and big-moment plays.
