Jackson State’s deep-bench forward with upside, but limited public stat trail
Mekel Richardson appears on Jackson State women’s basketball roster listings, but publicly available season-by-season stat detail is sparse, so the clean read is that she’s a depth-forward name to watch rather than a proven headline producer. The upside question is about role fit: does she bring energy, size, and low-maintenance minutes in Margaret Richards’ system, or is she still climbing the rotation ladder? Until more recent game logs surface, her value is best judged by practice impact, motor, and whether she can carve out reliable rebound-and-defense minutes in the 2026 season.
