veteran Ole Miss linebacker who brought toughness, takeaways, and steady production
In the 2015 season, Christian Russell was a productive senior linebacker for Ole Miss, appearing in 12 games with one start and posting 36 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and one forced fumble. He stood out as a downhill, physical defender who could finish plays and create disruption, not just pile up stops. His background as a former top JUCO linebacker adds context: he arrived with real pedigree and delivered reliable, high-effort football. If you want a linebacker who plays with urgency and special-teams-ready toughness, Russell fits the mold.
