Prentice Gill was a big-play Monarch who flashed true WR1 upside
In the 2011 season, Prentice Gill gave Old Dominion a vertical threat with 41 catches for 686 yards and became the first Monarch to top 100 receiving yards in a game, including a career-high 154 yards against Monmouth and 133 versus Cal Poly. He fit the profile of a field-stretching, game-breaking receiver who could flip momentum in a hurry. That kind of explosive production is exactly why he mattered: defenses had to respect him deep, and when he was rolling, Old Dominion’s passing game got spicy.
