Walk-on DB with special-teams upside at Northwestern State
Joe Guyton is a developmental defensive back for Northwestern State, and the biggest clue to his value is that the staff describes him as a walk-on who could work into special-teams duties in his sophomore year[1]. That points to a player who likely brings effort, toughness, and coachability more than flash right now, which is exactly the kind of glue piece teams love to have in the room[1]. If you need a high-floor competitor who can carve out a role by doing the dirty work, Guyton fits that profile.
