Caroline Stapleton is USI’s table-setter in right field, bringing contact, speed, and big-game consistency
In the 2026 season, Southern Indiana outfielder Caroline Stapleton has been one of the Screaming Eagles’ most reliable bats, hitting .340 with 51 hits, 32 runs, 11 extra-base hits, and 13 stolen bases in 45 games, while starting every game[11]. She has also shown a knack for driving the offense early—USI’s preseason notes pointed to her back-to-back All-OVC Second Team profile and a 2025 season where she led the team in batting average (.367), hits (44), runs (19), and stolen bases (8)[12]. Stapleton looks like a high-energy, high-contact leadoff type who makes teams better without needing the spotlight[12].
